How can I be a good mom?

A good mom is one that cares, loves and protects her child from any harm, remember that it all begins with us, the way we treat them now is the way they will feel on the inside, I have a 5 week old son and ask myself that question everyday due to me having such a bad mother, I was always neglected and she never cared for me, she lives 5 minutes away from my house and she still hasn't visited, I feel so empty and sad because I don't want ma baby to ever feel that way about me. I'm a 1st time mom and I know u probibly wouldn't take my advice reason being I'm new to this but I have experienced growing up with a bad mom and all I can say to u is all ur child needs is just ur love, care and undivided attention, just be there for him/her even whenever they don't need u and I'm sure that u will be a great mom!
