HELP: fractured wrist?

Okay I was playing tennis and fell back and all my weight went on my wrist. We went to the hospital and they took X-rays and said it's fractured. They put this cotton-like material and then wrapped it with a thin stretchy brown thing (I forgot what it's called). But it's on pretty lose and I want a real cast because it hurts REALLY badly. They said I have to wait 5 days to see if I need a real cast but the pain is terrible and I typed this whole thing with 1 hand. And my parents say I have to wait the 5 days even though it hurts so bad. I took pain killers but it still hurts. What should I do?
