For English class, we're righting this huge research paper. This year's topic was years, and I pulled out 1987. I need to find something that happened in 1987 and turn it into a 7 page long paper :( It needs to be something that affected us today. It could be like a movie was made - but it was the first movie with an all African American cast. Something like that. We need to be able to get something out of it. HELP: fractured wrist?

Okay I was playing tennis and fell back and all my weight went on my wrist. We went to the hospital and they took X-rays and said it's fractured. They put this cotton-like material and then wrapped it with a thin stretchy brown thing (I forgot what it's called). But it's on pretty lose and I want a real cast because it hurts REALLY badly. They said I have to wait 5 days to see if I need a real cast but the pain is terrible and I typed this whole thing with 1 hand. try using a muzzle, which can be found at pet stores. my dog is also crazy like that and will eat everything! we found plastic in his poop for crying out loud. anyways, whenever he starts chewing something that's not supposed to be chewed we put the muzzle on him and he jus sits there depressed. he learns his lesson cuz he feels the time out part. and now whenever he goes for something we show him the muzzle and he gets scared and backs away. this is a way to train the dog without harming him. but make sure to tell him "no" so he understands it's wrong

Your question confuses me a bit but I will try and help you anyway. If you take them outside to use the business, why did you mention kitty litter? Well cats indoors usually use a litter-box to do their business, it is a natural instinct for them and often there are NO problems once they know where the box is. You should try this also, get them a litter-box instead of relying on them to tell you when they have to pee and poo so you can let them outside. Cats need to pee and poo more than once a day also.. so once a day will cause her to pee around the house. Place a plastic cover over your bed when you are away.. it is not natural for cats to pee and poo on something such as that.. so she will STOP peeing in those places, however she will most likely just find somewhere else if you don't recognize why she's doing this. Also female cats coming into heat can begin to pee all over the place trying to attract a mate so have her spayed if not already done. Bopping cats noses does not usually work, works much better for dogs. Naturally cat's do not respond to hierarchy so this is not effective. Cats will simply begin to pee on your things out of spite. Catching her in the act is one good way to try and stop it, so be on the lookout for this. If you see her about to pee or poo on your bed, grab her quickly and pick her up, take her to the spot where she is supposed to go and if/when she goes praise her a lot. Try repeating this a few times as she will not learn with one time. Also be sure that her pee/poo spot is not near her food. Good luck!

I have a 3 yr old boy. Now i know 3 year olds say no a lot, but i am wondering what u do/have done to correct this? For about 2 weeks now i have done the, 'if u tell Mommy and Daddy no one more time, i am going to put soap in ur mouth'. I have had to do it twice. For English we have to write a research paper. The topic this year was years, so we pulled a year and I got 1987. I'm going to end up writing a 7 - 12 page paper on an event. But I'm not quite writing just about the event, it needs to be about the significance and how it has impacted us. An example she gave us was how we can start with our general topic of a movie and turn it into a paper about how it the fact that it was the first all African American cast and write about how that has affected us. I know about Black Monday, but I don't think I can write about a lasting impact about that and make a 10 page research paper about it. Any help would be appreciated! Loss of muscle control?

Ok whenever I'm sitting/laying down and I get up no matter what speed I get really light headed. Just now I stood up and walked about 20 feet to my brothers room and loss all of my muscle control and fell down. I stayed on the ground for about 5 seconds before I regained my strength. It happened another time, too. I was sitting on the couch, I got up walked about 15 feet to the stairs, stretched out, then started to walk up the stairs and it happened again. Black ops & boyfriend = wtf?

So my boyfriend was really into black ops since it came out, but i guess he said he recently prestiged and now hes playing against harder people i guess and not doing good at it anymore. So he decides that maybe if he lights up a joint..he can do better. He has been i guess trying to quit smoking and quit cutting down on weed too..but he gets all pissed off and completely takes it out on me. Last night, i guess we decided to play a bit together for fun..and i guess he did "terrible" (trust me..i did terrible) and then he started to act like a child and ignore me. When we went to bed, i asked him to sleep on his side cuz he was snoring, and he got up went and slept on the couch. we've been together for almost 5 years..and this is the first time he actually slept on the couch..we've had fights far worst than this and he always stayed in bed. This morning, i went into the living room to do my work..and he woke up, didnt say goodmorning and just walked to the bed to sleep. Even better..i spent all day cleaning the apartment and making him coffee and supper and he didnt say thank you for any of it. How can i go about talking to him about it without ignoring me? I swear I do 98% of the apartment work, and he spends 98% of his time watching tv and playing video games when hes home.

Fainting, 3 months pregnant?

This happens to me often, maybe once a month or so. The last two times it's been when I was asleep on a couch on my left side. I'll be in a sort of sleep paralysis, where I'm aware of everything, and I feel a big rush coming into my head and a roaring sound, and I'll try to wake myself up but can't. Then I have extreme trouble breathing, like I'm suffocating. I have to make sure I control my breathing because I'll stop if I don't really focus on it. I'm always really afraid I'm going to suffocate. Could this be Exploding head syndrome? And has anyone ever experienced it?

Why won't my almost four-year old potty train?

She will be four in April and we would like her to start preschool this coming school year, but they will not accept her if she isn't completely out of pull-ups by then. We've been working on potty training for awhile now. She understands the concept and has used the potty many times (small one her size and the big one). We've always made a big deal about it to keep her motivated. We clap and cheer and give her treats. We tell her what a big girl she is and that if she keeps doing well she will get to go to school with her older cousin. She was doing really well for awhile. She was peeing in the potty on a consistent basis and we were working on pooping. But now it's like she doesn't care anymore. She knows when she's had an accident, but she's not embarrassed when it happens. She doesn't care. She will come and tell us very nonchalantly that she's either wet or she pooped. She knows when she has to go because she has told us in the past. I'm starting to think that she is just being lazy. That it is easier for her to keep playing and just go. We've tried just putting her in underwear, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. She will still wet her underwear and expect to be changed. One time we were sitting on the couch and I asked her if she needed to go. She told me no because she already went. Then she showed me that she had wet herself and the couch. It was no big deal to her. She literally shrugged and then went and got clean pants and a new diaper for herself. She refuses to change herself and I refuse to leave her in wet clothes. My dog's behavior is unusual and I don't know whats wrong?

My Dachshund is 10 years old, female. Her teeth were really bad at one point and she got an infection from them before having one pulled. When she was sick, she would constantly be at the either the garage or the front door crying at it, she wouldn't eat, and she would sleep outside by the AC on the rocks. After her infection passed, she was fine but lately she's been doing some of the same things. She eats, she does her usual routine and all, but the other night when I came home from work, she stayed at the garage door and cried. When I went towards the stairs where the front door is, she ran over there and did the same thing. She usually stays in the bathroom with me or my room when I get ready for bed, but she was missing for most of the night. I had thought she was sleeping downstairs on the couch, but when I went to look for her, she was sleeping outside in the cold on a lounge chair. When I got her inside for bedtime, she was unusually clingy to me, sleeping by my side with her head on the pillow. Since then, she has to be near either me or my father and if not, she goes outside and sleeps on the lounge chair. She's been doing this for three days now and I'm not sure what its supposed to mean. She hated sleeping outside for first 10 years of her life (shes turning 11 in February) but all of a sudden, she constantly goes out there and doesn't come in, not even to eat. She will eat if I'm there and I offer it to her, but will not on her own. Oh, and a big part is that before she got her teeth pulled, she had the worst odor in her mouth. After her teeth got pulled, it never smelled. All of a sudden, her breath smells foul again but her teeth look fine. Also, a month back, she lost the top row of teeth in the front that the vet said could happen due to the one tooth being pulled and there not being support for them, but I'm skeptical about that. I'm lost and I'm not sure what to do. I know she's getting old but this is too unusual for just old age.

My Ma fell over earlier. She drinks two or three times a week, and I've never seen her fall over. My step-dad says she was fine one minute, and he left the room to fix a drink. When he came back in, my ma was on the floor with blood coming out of her mouth. She seemed dazed and was not really sure what happened. I came home about five minutes after she had fallen. He had her on the couch, and she seems ok - but her speech is slurred and she refuses to go to the hospital. My stepdad mas a nurse in the airforce many years ago, and he took her pulse, which seemed very faint, but otherwise normal. About an hour has gone by. She has a black eye, and her speech is still a little slurred, but she seems normal otherwise. She can walk and move around. She says she feels fine, that she just had too much to drink. But she still doesn't remember falling or why she fell. I'm afraid that she may have had a stroke or an aneurysm, but she sternly refuses to leave the house, and I can't really afford to have an ambulance drive over here for nothing. Just looking for some advice, as I'm not sure what to do. She is 50 yrs old, and is in good health. She drinks a bottle of wine two to three nights a week, and drink rum mixers occasionally. I've seen her drunk before, but this is different. Should I be concerned?

I like shows that are comedy and romance but also something out of the ordinary. I like fantasy, music based and more kids/teens stuff. I am looking for mainly British tv shows as I seem to have better luck with them being what I like. I have watched H20: Just add water, Idream, Britannia High. American shows that I like are Primeval, Unnatural History, and House of Anubis. It doesn't have to be a running series, just something like these ones, many of which are no longer running. I have a 850000 BTU Natco Firecoil hot water gas boiler that I use in my laundromat in NJ. Its side plate made of cast iron cracked when the boiler was not even heated and it flooded the basement. In the mean time you can cut and pull that carpet section and place out in the sun, let it deordorize outside. The padding is a lost cause, can't be fixed or cleaned. Yes, if the cat stink or your chemicals got to the floor below, it has to be sealed. Not great if it is hardwood, in which case you have to replace the wood planks. If just plywood, sealing it should do it. Replace the pad and put the carpet back down with double sided tape....just get it turned the right way so it doesn't show.

A month ago, I leapt off a staircase and swung off of a bar overhead and landed wrong on my foot. I chipped the talus bone and severely sprained the front/side part (it's my right ankle). The pain was never that bad (except for the moment that it happened), and after walking on it for a day I got x-rayed and was put in a cast for the broken bone and was told I had a severe sprain. I wore the cast for two weeks, and then was put in an air cast that I have been "sort of" wearing for the past two weeks. (The bone was well re-joined after I got the cast off, and there was no pain.) I think the doctors sort of forgot about the sprained part, but it's still bothering me. I *might* have started practicing basketball again, (don't get mad), and soccer starts in a month, and I need to be able to kick. My question is: Could I possibly make the sprain worse by playing sports on it, and will I be able to kick a soccer ball if it still hurts once the season roles around? I need some real advice please, and don't get pis*** that I'm playing sports again. My stupid decision, not yours.

This happens to me often, maybe once a month or so. The last two times it's been when I was asleep on a couch on my left side. My bf and I have been together about 8 months. We live together and were planning a future together. Problem is that we are both dominate personalities we both are used to doing things our way with little resistance. This has started all kinds of issues. To me, it means we both have to be willing to compromise. I'm definitely willing to meet in the middle on every issue but I will not go more than that. My bf won't even give an inch. He wouldn't even try so I packed my stuff and told him I was going to leave. He told me not to go bc he loves me and wants us to work. I asked if that means he will start to compromise and try. Still, he said he won't talk to anyone and has no answer to how we can improve. So I left, but I took my phone so I could still talk to him. I instantly regretted it, I broke up w him on facebook too which he was furious about.I told him less than 3 hrs later that I was sorry, I made a mistake. Now he said he needs space bc I broke his heart and he wants a future with me but he needs to clear his head. I stayed gone for the night but he still says he needs more time. I pay rent, and I don't think its fair that he won't let me come home. He gets to sleep in a bed I bought while I'm stuck at my dads tiny house on the floor? That's just wrong. So I went to see him in person and he was mad, he wants me to leave for another day at least so he can think and then we can be together. I'm not sleeping on the floor again. I think if he wants that space he can take the couch or go stay with his parents bc at least he will have a bed. Thoughts??

I need advice and feedback from readers/blogers about dealing with a depressed, alcoholic, addicted spouse.?

I have been married 30 years and have 3 teenage children. My husband was a good/great provider and wonderful father and pretty good husband until the last 10 years when he began to spiral downward - began drinking heavily, became depressed, lost jobs, started using drugs, addicted to pornography... The last 5 years began to get very hard and the past 2-3 years unbearable. I am working full-time to try to support the family and pay down debt acquired because of his choices. He makes some money but it is never consistent. We separated for a while and I was much happier, but felt sorry for him and let him back home. He is not doing anything to help himself. He eats poorly, is overweight now, doesn't sleep well at night, and then spends his days snoring on the couch. He now has terrible self-esteem and when his stress is too much he binges. We used to live a very upper middle class lifestyle and now I barely make ends meet. My oldest despises him now while the other two are more forgiving. I have had enough and want him out, but he isn't able to support himself. The stress is getting to me. Any suggestions? I don't care about a lavish lifestyle anymore, I just want to pay my bills and be happy and enjoy my days without worrying about him. I've read books, given him names of different doctors, etc,, but he does NOTHING! HELP!

I started Pharmacy school last Aug, and a month before the semester ended, I had an anxiety attack. I never had one before. Here is what it feels like for those who have never had the joy of having one before. Think about a time that was the scariest moment in your life. Like the feeling you had when thought your child is missing, or you heard for the first time you heard a family member was in a bad wreck. Take that feeling that is suppose to last a few moments and expand it to last weeks. It was awful. I didn't stop throwing up every morning for weeks. The nightmares were the worst. Then to top it all off, I felt completely disconnected from the entire world. All I could do was sit on the couch and stare off into space. It was numbing. The school said I could come back in the fall, since I wasn't failing. I think about it now, and realized that I just got scared of failing. The whole thing kinda snowballed out of control. I started thinking I was going to fail,my wife was going to leave me, and my house would go into foreclosure. Fast forward to today. I know those thoughts were not logical. However, now I have a job the pays the bills, but I have tests every year that I have to pass or I lose that job. So question is, do I stay at my job or go back to pharmacy school and risk another attack.

The only thing you need that is absolutely necessary would be snowboard boots. You can rent if you need. I would recommend getting goggles. they improve your visibility 100 times as opposed to sunglasses. You can wear skiier's stuff if you want to. It doesnt really matter.

What should i do about my almost 3 year olds sons feet?

My sons feet have been pointing inwards for awhile now...his pediatrician told me not to worry about it when he was 1 years old. So i didnt but then everyone was worried about it, as was i. So i took him to a foot doctor and they put made him special braces for his shoes. Nothing was changing...so i set up a appt. with a foot surgeon and they took a mri of his pelvic area. The x ray showed that its actually his hips that are making his legs point inwards. The surgeon acted like it was only one of his hips but both of his feet point inwards and his left is worse than his right, when the surgeon said it was his right hip that was messed up. I've been verry confused with this. Anyways..the surgeon told me to put him in physical therapy for 8 weeks, once a week. So i did. The physical therapist told me he WILL need surgery and physical therapy isnt going to work. The surgeon told me after physical therapy for 8 weeks, we could try casts, and then if that doesnt work than he will want to operate on him. So we have done physical therapy for 8 weeks and tomorrow we have another appt with the surgeon. I'm really wanting to figure out whats wrong, if he needs surgery i want to get it over with, even though im dreading it. I just wanted to know if anyone else has gone through something like this and what should i do? I'm just really confused and worried about everything. I dont know if i should 100% just go along with what the surgeon is saying. If anyone can help..please do!!!!

Girlfriend's family crazy or not?

My girlfriend's parents threated her that she would have to break up with me last night. This was all over one thing, which was my fault, I didn't walk her to the door.Well, this pissed me off when I heard about it because I've taken a lot from her parents. Every time I go to her house, her mom talks about castrating pigs and even went as far as to say in front of me that it was a good threat to guys. One time me and her were sitting on the love seats and her sisters on the couch. The parents walked out and said they were leaving only to come back in and tell us they weren't because I was there. They asked me why I didn't eat a lot (because i use to be fat and lost a bunch of weight) expecting an explanation. They talked about their political views and asked me mine knowing I have the opposite views. The father told my gf that he wanted to convert me to their denomination because mine was stupid. They also told me that I'm not allowed up stares and that they have guns in the house. How would you respond to all this? Do I have a right to be pissed?

Last night one thing turned into another?

yesterday my brother's friend stayed the night(8th grade-almost 15) and so did my friend. well there was limited room on he couch, so me and my brother's friend were laying on the couch on opposite ends. we started playing footsies and we both started rubbing each other a little higher . we eventually got to each others uh, private areas, and were rubbing each others areas with our feet(we had our clothes on). i'm in the 10th grade,almost 16 and feel really guilty about it all. he's cute, but younger. should i feel like this about the situation? any advice?

I have been married for 3 weeks and I feel so unhappy! My husband has became a consistant nag but NEVER was like this until we got married! I love him but I'm scared that this is what life will be with him. He has his faults as do I but we solved the majority of big issues before we got married and now I feel like well what the hell is this! He called me a name yesterday and we have dealt with name calling months ago and have been doing great until yesterday. So I'm uneasy thinking that it may be an issue again. Then later he texts me that everyone else wives is at the party, I didn't respond back. I just got dressed even though I was tired and went up there. When I arrived the kids had played, finished their pizza and all that was left was to sing happy birthday, eat cake, and open presents. Everyone was happy to see me BUT my husband. He complained that I missed watching the kids play, etc. I told him that hey I'm here now for you let's enjoy the rest of the party. Then two mins later he complains that he told everyone that I was busy at home and then with me showing up at the end made him look stupid! It that point I just felt so frustated that I said well do you me to go bc you bitched that I wasnt here and now that Im here youre still nagging. He called my buff and I left. My sister-in-law sent me a text saying that everyone was now headed to MY HOUSE! So I had to put on a "wifely" face for all 15-20 members of his family coming unexpectedly (to me) to our house. My husband arrived first with such a ugly attitude. I told him to just leave me alone and not to talk me and that's when he called me the name. I used to get so upset and blow up on him but I just went into my room. he text me that he was going to let 4 of his nephews stay the nite. After his friends and family's kids started to get unruly bc most of the adults were socializing and not really caring if they tear up stuff I just got fed up with everything and left and had dinner with my friend (girl). Then around 11pm my mother in law calls me to check on me and informs me that my husband didnt watch the boys and in fact he dropped his son off at her house so he could go out! I got home around 12:30 my husband got in after 4am. He slept on the couch. Then this morning he left out. My sister in law had everyone at her house to watch the game. I stayed home. At this time my husband and I still havent talked. So I decided to text him how I was feeling about everything and then I called him and told him that I needed to talk. He said that he didnt want to talk tonite maybe tomorrow. I just hung up. After 20 mins later he and my stepson came home. A few hours ago I was cleaning up the bathroom and seen that he left his wedding ring. Idk if he had if off last night or took it off this morning but my point is it was off. Shortly after I found it I just wanted to scream at him but I just left to my moms instead. I have no idea what to do!!! I am trying so hard but its like Im getting nothing back at this point! It was just Friday morning that he was telling me how lucky and happy he was that I was his wife and then all of this! I dont want to think about a divorce but this cant be what marriage is especially only 3 weeks into it!!!! Any sound advice???

I have two drawing pads for the computer (the earlier version of the other is the CTE-650, and the new model is just called bamboo pen and touch) for the first model, i seemed to have misplaced the cord, and so i was looking to buy a new one; however, i can't find one that is just with the cord. Secondly, there is the newer version. I was sitting on my couch, drawing with my pad, and i set the pen and computer down to go to the bathroom... but when i came back, the pen was missing! and i looked everywhere! Canada or USA which one?

Ok well first I thought i'd love to live in USA and set my mind to that. Then about a year ago I found out it would be easier to get into Canada (no disrispect to Canada). Now i'm confused which country I should attemp to get a visa to. I'm 17 about to turn 18 and go to University so i'm not ready to go yet but I mean i'll sit here and say yep i'm going to Canada then i'll cast my mind to USA and be like but damn that would be even more fun. How can I get in shape?

I'm 15 and 5'7. I am not overweight at all but I'm starting to get a bit of a muffin top. I need some excercises that can help me get into better shape. Like maybe some simple ones, and then some that can help get abs maybe. I want to start of light because I'm getting very lazy lol. I eat quite healthy except for the past week we've had guests so I've been a bit slack. My parents won't let me go out for a walk by myself. But we have a tredmill, a bike thing, another stand up bike thing and a punching bag in the garage. I just can't get motivated to do any of this stuff. Please I'll take any advice! I want to start being a bit strict on myself so I don't become a couch potato. Thank you!

yeah so I recently did this 24 Hour Play thing at my high school (if u don't know what a 24 Hour Play is then look it up) and there was this guy who's a year older than me (I'm 15 and he's 16 but I think he turns 17 like next month) and durin the whole 24 hours I kept catching him lookin at me. like whenever someone in the plays cast made a joke we'd all laugh and I looked over at him and he was laughing and lookin at me then I looked away, but then I glanced again and he was still lookin at me. durin rehearsals and the actual production, he'd always be behind me (although we were in the same character group) and sometimes he'd brush against my arm cuz he got too close. so long story short: always caught him lookin at me, sometimes smilin, gets really close, and was behind me a lot. after the play we were backstage and he said 'good job Saira' to me and I said 'you too' and stuff. also a mutual friend of ours was like 'Saira this is ******* u two should talk cuz u both love music' (I won't release his actual name) and he's like 'so... how bout that music?' hahaha. so........ does he like me or somethin? I wouldn't mind datin him cuz he's pretty cool with GORGEOUS bright blue eyes. :)

I have a question about God/Devil/Heaven: I have struggled to find this answer.?

I have asked Priests/Pastors and have yet to recieve an answer that actually makes sense. No one may indeed know the answer, but I am going to try to find out. Here it is: God existed before everything - he is the Alpha and Omega. With God were his angels - Gabriel/Micheal and even Lucifer (before being cast from Heaven) in Heaven. God is sinless, so I assume Heaven is sinless as well. If that is true then WHY or HOW did Lucifer sin? He was envious of God and that is why he was cast from Heaven. Not only was he cast, but 1/3 of the angels were cast out. I am soooo confused on this idea. How could Heaven, where God is, have sin? The angels, to me, seem to portray the same sinful nature as man, but how could that be in the presence of God??? Please answer honestly and openly and don't mince words....Thanks.....

Am I being absolutely ridiculous? Is this relationship even practical?

This past summer, I went on a cruise ship with my family for a week. First night there, I went to the teen club (I'm only 15) and met a guy there. The club wasn't very fun so we decided to leave and go get some ice cream and we basically just hung out and talked until like 3 am. For the next 7 days, we'd bump into each other, hang out until extremely late, then he'd walk me to my door. While talking to him, I learned he's a year older than me, plays football, and also happens to live a thousand miles away. I really grew to like him and he liked me too. The last night he tried to kiss me, but I thought he was just trying ti give me a hug, so we just hugged as usual. I added him on facebook, gave him my cell number, and we still talk a lot. But here's my dilemma. I promised him that I would kiss him someday because I wanted to and would have, had I not been stupid. I hope to see him again someday and maybe even pursue that relationship, but it all seems kind of fairytale-esque. Should I just forget him? Or should I follow my heart and make it work? Not now... Once I'm out of high school obviously.

Why does my cat hiss now?

My female cat has suddenly picked up the habit of hissing at anyone who comes over to our house. When she was a kitten, she was social and used to crawl on anyone's lap and snuggle with them, purr, lick them, etc. She was the most affectionate cat in the world. Now, for last 4-5 months or so, at almost 2 years old, she hisses at anyone who tries to pet her and then runs away. They won't even walk up to her and try to pet her in a threatening way - They'll just be sitting on the couch and she'll walk by them and they'll just pet her as she's walking by and then she'll react. She seems to get more agitated when people sleep over as well - At this point, I'm assuming it's a territorial thing and she's just not happy with other people on "her property". She just never used to be like this though. It's very strange and it seems like she just picked up this behavior out of nowhere. Now she's even started hissing occasionally and me and my boyfriend when we pick her up and she doesn't want to be held. We don't think she's in pain or sick or anything because she does still let me and my boyfriend pick her up and she'll often come over and lay with us. Could there be any other reason for this behavior besides her being territorial and just easily agitated? What can we do to stop this behavior before it gets worse? I just want her to go back to her sweet, affectionate self. Thanks!
