Anyone know about accent colours? ?

I am trying to spice up out family room...we r getting while shutters....we have white walls currently...expresso couches....expresso end tables...with glass top....and I want to add some colour....what would u guys suggest for drapery? Pillows? Art work? Any thoughts would be awesome....
