Is he interested? Too good for me?

After texting for a few weeks, this guy and I hung out. We sat on a couch and talked for 2 1/2 hours. It was fun, but we both were getting tired, so we said goodnight. He's cute, and I don't think I am. He told me via text that he thought I was cute, but who knows. Anyway, he asked me what I was planning on doing tomorrow (today), and I told him my plans. I asked him his, and then asked if he wanted to hang out. He said, "the real question, is do you?" He kept kinda making comments that he wasn't adequate or something... I dunno. Anyway, he told me he would just talk to me tomorrow (today). He didn't seem excited about it, or anything. So I didn't get a text until now... 7pm ish. He just said, "Hey what's up?" In all honesty, would someone who is interested text this? I just can't read him. Plus, i dont want to sound tooooo desperate or anything. I'm not playing games, I just don't want to come off as too much, Anyway, what do you think?
