Did he want to sit next to me?? Could it possibly turn into something?

ok so yesterday at this party i was hanging out with this guy and his friends most of the night. Almost every girl at our school thinks he's really hot but they say they would never date him because he's prude. I actually really like him for who he is though and i want a relationship....anyways yesterday we were sitting on a couch and whenever he got up and another guy would sit next to me he would get all mad and be like "seriously get up...i was sitting there" and the guy would get up and he'd sit back down...i know it sounds like im overanalyzing this but i was just wondering if it sounds like he wanted to sit next to me or just wanted the spot on the couch...also when the party was over my friends were all like "oh my gosh you were flirty tonight with him"....thanks for reading and answering! i really appreciate it!
