How would I clean rust out of a cast iron skillet?

scrub it real good in dishwashing liquid then reseason it. the cast iron believe it or not is a good thing to cook in for it cooks evenly and also on lower heat or high heat. it also supplies your body with iron. some do not believe it but ask your doctor if you don't. season it by rubbing a little oil or shortening in it and baking it on low for a while. never wash in dishwasher though unless you want o re rust it and dirty all your other dishes.
