Is it deemed more acceptable for men to be overweight when married, but woman are expected to stay slim?

Just a quick one, all the adverts and photos, even casting in shows it always portrays a tubby husband and a slim wife. Is this deemed acceptable that men are allowed to be overweight, but woman must continue to lose and remain slim? By the way I am a size 10 and love the gym, and happily married.
